1 cup Thai basil leaves, chopped
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 Thai chili or 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
6–8 lettuce leaves or rice paper wrappers
1 tbsp oil for cooking
Optional: lime wedges, crushed peanuts, chopped scallions, sweet chili dipping sauce

Instructions

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat
Add garlic and chili, sauté until fragrant
Add ground beef and cook until browned
Pour in the sauce mixture and stir until thickened
Remove from heat and fold in chopped Thai basil
If using rice paper, soak until soft
