A moist and flavorful pumpkin bread infused with fresh Florida orange juice, topped with a crumbly streusel and sweet citrus glaze. Perfect for fall baking, brunches, or holiday gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

1¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
¼ tsp ground cloves
1 cup canned pumpkin purée
2 large eggs
½ cup fresh Florida orange juice
½ cup vegetable oil
⅔ cup brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
1 tbsp orange zest (optional)

Streusel Topping
¼ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cold butter, cubed
½ tsp ground cinnamon

Citrus Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp fresh Florida orange juice

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
In a large bowl, combine pumpkin purée, eggs, orange juice, oil, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla.
Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in chopped nuts and orange zest, if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
In a small bowl, combine the streusel ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
Bake for 55–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cool, whisk together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over the bread.

Notes

Use freshly squeezed orange juice for the best flavor.
Bread can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
To freeze, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil and freeze for up to 3 months.
