Description
A festive and flavorful cranberry goat cheese sourdough appetizer featuring creamy goat cheese, sweet dried cranberries, aromatic herbs, and golden sourdough slices. Perfect for holidays, brunches, or wine nights.
Ingredients
1 loaf sourdough bread, day-old preferred
8 oz goat cheese, softened
1 cup dried cranberries
2 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped
2 tbsp honey, high-quality
2 tbsp olive oil, high-quality
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Slice the sourdough bread into 1-inch thick pieces and place them on the baking sheet.
In a medium bowl, mix the softened goat cheese with dried cranberries and chopped herbs until well combined.
Spread the goat cheese mixture generously on each slice of bread.
Drizzle honey and olive oil evenly over the topped slices.
Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the bread is golden brown.
Serve warm and garnish with extra herbs if desired.
Notes
Let the goat cheese come to room temperature for easier spreading.
Use day-old bread for better texture and to prevent sogginess.
Do not skip parchment paper; it prevents sticking due to the honey drizzle.
You can prepare the goat cheese mixture a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator.
