Description
Crispy, tangy, and healthier than deep-fried, these air fryer fried pickles make the perfect appetizer or snack. Ready in minutes and bursting with flavor!
Ingredients
1 cup dill pickle chips, drained and patted dry
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Olive oil spray (for coating)
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 400°F
Set up a dredging station with 3 bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper
Dip each pickle chip into flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture
Place coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket and spray lightly with olive oil
Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce
Notes
Pat pickles very dry before breading to ensure maximum crispiness
Panko gives the best crunch, but regular breadcrumbs can work
For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and cornstarch instead of egg
Try adding grated Parmesan to the breadcrumbs for extra flavor
Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer
